Healthcare technology and device developer Sectra of Linköping, Sweden, is scheduled to premier the next generation of its MicroDose full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system, as well as a new remote reading workstation for its PACS family, at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna next month.
The MicroDose FFDM features new developments in photon-counting technology, which Sectra said can provide better images with lower radiation doses, as well as advantages in applications such as contrast mammography, dual-energy, and tomosynthesis studies. In addition, the system can now be equipped with a stereotactic add-on for clinical exams, the company said.
On the PACS front, Sectra said it will launch the latest member of its workstation family, which features streaming and preloading technology for efficient distribution of datasets, even over high-latency networks. The developer will also showcase the latest iteration of its RIS/PACS application and the latest version of its Orthopedic Package, which features automatic calibration and improved semiautomatic hip planning tools for orthopedic surgeons.
