A new study published this week seems to confirm the worst fears of mammography advocates: More younger women are forgoing breast screening, in line with guidelines issued late last year by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF).
A survey by the Avon Foundation found that fewer mammograms are being performed in the U.S., and many state-funded programs for early breast cancer screening have been eliminated. The changes include some of the largest states in the U.S. Learn more by clicking here.
