Siemens Healthcare said that it will provide five static and four mobile Mammomat Inspiration full-field digital mammography (FFDM) systems to the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton-on-Tees, U.K.
The fixed-site systems will be placed at the university hospital, while the mobile units will be installed in trailers to travel to hospital sites in the surrounding areas, according to Siemens of Malvern, PA. Siemens said that the first fixed unit has been installed in the breast screening unit, with the remaining eight systems expected early this year.
