The American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) have issued a statement praising the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' (ACOG) updated recommendation that women begin getting annual mammograms at 40.
The updated ACOG recommendation, published in the August 2011 issue of Obstetrics & Gynecology, now corresponds with those of the American Cancer Society, ACR, SBI, and the American Society of Breast Disease (ASBD), the two organizations said.
