A radiologic technologist in Georgia accused of submitting false mammogram results will not be tried in July as planned, according to an article published in the Warner Robins Patriot.
Rachael Michelle Rapraeger has been charged with mishandling 1,289 Perry Hospital mammograms over a 15-month period, beginning January 2009. The trial had been tentatively scheduled for either the week of July 11 or July 18, but it likely will not appear on the Superior Court docket before the latter part of this year, the Warner Robins Patriot reported.
District Attorney George Hartwig asked that the case be put off because his office is "looking to see if anyone else has criminal exposure in this case," according to the article.
Rapraeger is free on a $50,000 bond after having been charged with 10 counts of reckless conduct and 10 counts of computer fraud for allegedly entering negative mammography results without a physician's review into the computer system at Perry Hospital. Rapraeger worked at the hospital until she was terminated following discovery of the unread mammograms during a quality control check in April 2010.
