Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer VuCOMP said that its M-Vu CAD mammography software is now available through Siemens Healthcare.
M-Vu CAD will be distributed through Siemens' U.S. network and with that company's Mammomat Inspiration Prime, Mammomat Inspiration, and Mammomat Novation mammography systems, according to VuCOMP.
M-Vu CAD uses computer vision algorithms to identify areas in mammograms consistent with breast cancer, and it's the first product to meet the U.S. Food and Drug Administration-recommended reader study standard for proving the effectiveness of mammography CAD, VuCOMP said.
