A mobile breast screening program led by nurses from New Zealand will travel to all seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 21 February to 2 March, according to a report in the National, an English-language daily newspaper published in Abu Dhabi.
The annual campaign, known as the Pink Caravan, consists of 30 buses containing on-board clinics. Clinicians riding in the buses will offer free consultations and screenings to men and women throughout the country, with the aim of promoting the early diagnosis of breast cancer.
The group will also set up one clinic at a fixed location in Abu Dhabi to provide additional services, the article noted.
