Fujifilm Canada has received a medical device license from Health Canada to sell its Aspire Cristalle digital mammography system in the country.
Aspire Cristalle is a full-field digital mammography system that also performs digital breast tomosynthesis. The system also uses Fujifilm's hexagonal close pattern capture technology, as well as the firm's image processing tools to optimize radiation dose and image contrast based on breast tissue composition of individual patients.
Fujifilm this month announced a relationship with Canadian distributor Christie Innomed to sell Aspire Cristalle in Canada.
