Advanced visualization developer Barco has upgraded its 3D visualization and analysis software, Voxar 3D 5.1.
The application has undergone performance and usability enhancements to work better with large datasets from the latest generation of CT scanners, according to Kortrijk, Belgium-based Barco. The upgrade incorporates specular lighting effects that improve depth perception and surface detail for enhanced views of bones, vascular structures, and soft-tissue surfaces, the company said.
The 5.1 iteration features VesselMetrix, a new 3D vessel analysis module that provides a clinical protocol-based workflow for quantitative analysis of contrast-enhanced CT angiography (CTA) and MR angiography (MRA) studies, including stenosis, stent and stent graft planning, and stent graft surveillance, Barco said.
Voxar 3D 5.1 is available as an integrated 3D software module within a variety of PACS offerings and as a standalone 3D visualization and analysis software tool for sites without PACS.
