This Dutch developer of advanced visualization software will highlight several enhancements to its 3viseon family of products.
The company plans to launch 3viseon 2.0, a new version of its 3D workstation software that includes segmentation, sculpting, curved display, and support for very large datasets. The software also features techniques such as bone and vessel segmentation, fly-throughs, 3D study comparison mode, MIP/MPR volume rendering in color and grayscale, and advanced viewing modes for multislice CT datasets. The new version is currently available.
Another new product is 3viseon OEM/plug-in, which offers the same functionality as 3viseon 2.0 but can be added on top of existing PACS software and workstations as a plug-in component.
Finally, 3viseon Stereoscopic Application is an extension to 3viseon 2.0 that supports stereoscopic image display, enabling users to see images in depth. The application was developed in cooperation with medical display and advanced visualization firm Planar Systems of Waltham, MA, and operates with that firm's SD1710 17-inch stereo/3D monitor. The application includes full support for 3viseon 2.0 applications, according to the company.
Also look for 3mensio to talk up its recent agreement with PACS software developer UltraRAD, in which 3mensio's technology will be incorporated into the Largo, FL, company's product portfolio.
