Medis of Leiden, Netherlands, will showcase the latest additions to its line of quantification software.

2005 11 16 14 38 30 706 QBrain is designed for quantification of abnormalities in the brain. Key features include segmentation and calculation of volumes, an option to track volume changes over time, drawing tools, and support for aging-related disease protocols and user-defined protocols. The software has received FDA clearance and will be available in the U.S. and the rest of the world in 2006.

QMass MR is targeted at the quantitative analysis of cardiac MR scans. Among the key features are the ability to quantify global and regional cardiac function, improved automatic left-ventricular contour detection, "smart" right-ventricular contour drawing, and analysis of stress, time-intensity, and myocardial viability studies. The software has received FDA clearance and begins shipping in the fourth quarter of 2005.

QMass CT for cardiac CT studies includes such features as calculation of global and regional cardiac function parameters, integrated CT Reformatter fast ejection fraction analysis, and CT reporting based on available reconstructed images. The software has received 510(k) clearance and will begin shipping in the U.S. and the rest of the world in 2006.

QBone Planner is quantification software for digital radiography studies, with a focus on preoperative planning and postoperative measurements. The application includes digital templates from all major manufacturers of orthopedic components and online updating of digital templates, according to the company. The software has FDA clearance and began shipping this month.

Finally, QAngio MR is designed for automatic analysis of stenosis in 3D MR peripheral angiography datasets. It includes support for major cardiac MR protocols, output of various results and contour statistics, and 3D modeling of analyzed vessel segments. The product is currently available.
