Medweb of San Francisco will use the RSNA show as a springboard to launch new software designed to provide the features and functionality of expensive 3D workstations in a more economical package.
Advanced Web 3D PACS enables standard PC users to take advantage of state-of-the-art 3D templating and data autosegmenting techniques when processing datasets from multislice CT scanners. Clinicians can then distribute the data in a 3D volume that is easy to display and navigate, according to the company.
Medweb says the software can serve as an addition to a conventional PACS network, as a standalone PACS, or as a modality PACS for helping imaging facilities deal with the demands created by new multislice CT scanners.
