This developer of functional MRI components and software will highlight its Mindstate family of products, designed to make fMRI studies easier to conduct on a routine clinical basis.
Mindstate fDPD is a collection of stimulation paradigms, data collection protocols, and image processing services. The products enable Neurognostics to provide offsite fMRI data processing services to imaging sites that don't have the time or technical expertise to process fMRI data.
The fDPD package includes validated, ready-to-use stimulation paradigms for fMRI studies in applications such as assessment of sensorimotor and cognitive paradigms. Mindstate fDPD received a special 510(k) clearance from the FDA in October 2005 and is commercially shipping in the U.S.
Mindstate fDPD works with the company's Mindstate fDAD data acquisition device, which includes a visual stimulus system and control station. The fDAD equipment can be used in various scanner room configurations, according to the company. The software guides users though all the steps of an fMRI exam. Mindstate fDAD received FDA clearance in January 2005 and is available in the U.S.
