German software developer Rendoscopy will highlight its software for generating virtual colonoscopy studies on a standard PC.

The software performs a range of virtual colonoscopy visualization applications, including colon segmentation, center-path planning, and fly-throughs. Lesions can be marked and examined further using 2D viewing, and multiple 3D views are available in addition to fly-throughs.

Rendoscopy claims that a thorough examination of the colon can be conducted in five minutes, far faster than using conventional techniques, and that the software will decrease virtual colonoscopy's dependence on highly skilled operators.
