The RapidScreen computer-aided detection (CAD) software for chest radiography studies will be highlighted in the booth of this Miamisburg, OH, company.

2005 11 16 14 55 15 706 RapidScreen is designed to offer a more economical alternative to lung CAD than software that relies on CT chest studies. In its RSNA booth, Riverain will show versions of RapidScreen designed to work with both analog and digital radiography systems.

It will also demonstrate dual-energy subtraction CAD images, along with PA and lateral CAD images of chest radiographs, and will highlight the integration of RapidScreen with commercially available PACS software.

RapidScreen has received premarket approval from the FDA and is shipping in the U.S. at a list price from $150,000 to $200,000, depending on configuration. International shipments will begin in 2006, according to the company.
