Dear Advanced Visualization Insider,
Thanks to the increased utilization of multidetector-row CT (MDCT), adoption of 3D advanced visualization software is gathering momentum in cardiac imaging.
This trend is leading to a number of developments, including changes in workflow interpretation processes and the creation of dedicated 3D laboratories operated by 3D technologist specialists. Radiologists and cardiologists have also had to learn new workstation software and develop new interpretation skill sets.
In this month's Advanced Visualization Insider, contributing writer Cynthia Keen takes a look at the growing role of advanced visualization software in cardiac imaging, including its applications, limitations, and workflow issues.
