Imaging contract research organization ImageIQ will collaborate with the Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute (AORI) to enhance joint replacement research at AORI.
The two organizations will apply state-of-the-art 3D imaging analytics to improve the assessment of the structural integrity and longitudinal performance of various biomaterials in orthopedic implant wear studies, ImageIQ said.
The goal is for AORI and its sponsors to make quality-based research and development decisions in less time and with less upfront investment.
In addition, data generated from the partnership could be used to help reduce the frequency of joint replacement implant failures and enhance the quality of life of patients undergoing joint replacement procedures, according to the firm.
