Advanced visualization firm Vital Images will supply its VitreaView visualization and analysis software to Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Johns Hopkins Medicine plans to integrate VitreaView into its electronic medical record (EMR) system, Vital said.
VitreaView is designed to help physicians view DICOM and non-DICOM images from disparate databases across healthcare systems. In addition, VitreaView provides physicians with Web-based access to role-specific, patient-centric views of imaging history.
Vital Images is owned by Toshiba Medical Systems.
