Advanced visualization firm Vital Images has launched a new version of its software that makes 3D applications available to more users without requiring a significant IT investment.
VitreaExtend supports up to three simultaneous users and uses the same toolset as Vital's flagship Vitrea server-based software. It is designed for facilities that need access to 3D imaging from multiple locations without a significant IT installation, according to the company. VitreaExtend frees up scanner consoles and has licensing capabilities that allow one walk-up and two remote users, or three remote users, depending on the individual needs of the facility, Vital said.
VitreaExtend will be offered exclusively by Toshiba Medical Systems for modality-attached purchases through its U.S. channel and by Vital and its distribution partners globally.
