Imaging software developer Median Technologies will present the results of a study on radiomics at the SPIE Medical Imaging 2016 conference being held February 27 to March 3 in San Diego.
Radiomics is the extraction and analysis of image features, and it shows promise in the development of precision medicine, Median said. The study, called Mutual Information-Based Feature Selection for Radiomics, was conducted by researchers from the Centre Antoine Lacassagne in Nice, France. It explores a method based on information theory to quantify the reproducibility of imaging features, according to the firm.
