Arterys receives SIIM award for cloud project

The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) has awarded a $10,000 grand prize to researchers from imaging software developer Arterys for its project on cloud medical imaging analytics.

The company has proposed to create a cloud platform to both aggregate data and deliver accurate, advanced analytics to help quantify images in a far more consistent fashion, while ensuring that protected health information (PHI) remains secure. Arterys will use the award to design datasets to build new algorithms.

The SIIM Innovation Challenge provides a $10,000 prize to support innovation, exploration, and the development of solutions that will help shape the present and future of imaging informatics.
