Materialise offers 3D printing certification program

3D printing firm Materialise has launched a certification program for its Mimics inPrint 3D printing software.

Materialise is working to ensure healthcare providers' 3D operations are fully compatible and meet quality standards for developing and printing patient-specific 3D anatomical models. The certification program allows printer manufacturers that partner with the company to have their products tested and validated as being fully compatible with Mimics inPrint software, which has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to develop 3D-printed anatomical models for diagnostic and surgical planning uses.

Stratasys and Ultimaker are the first 3D printer partners to participate in the program and have their products tested by Materialise to certify compatibility.
