Enterprise imaging vendor Novarad has installed its OpenSight augmented reality (AR) surgical technology at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.
The Microsoft HoloLens-powered OpenSight software interactively renders 2D, 3D, and 4D patient images and overlays them directly on the patient's body, according to the vendor. George Washington University Hospital is the first institution in the U.S. to use OpenSight to assist a surgical operation, Novarad said.
