3D printing technology firm Stratasys unveiled a new 3D printer that offers multicolor and multimaterial 3D printing at half the cost of previous printers with matching capabilities.
The J826 3D printer is designed to generate highly realistic 3D-printed models in multiple colors and materials within a single day's time, with minimal postprocessing. The 3D printer's maximum build volume size is 10 x 9.9 x 7.9 inches.
At half the price tag of the company's other multicolor 3D printers, J826 makes in-house production of 3D-printed anatomical models and medical instruments much more viable for healthcare and educational institutions, Stratasys said.
The 3D printer is scheduled for commercial release in May 2020.
