3D printing technology firm Stratasys is producing 5,000 3D-printed disposable face shields for medical personnel managing the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S.
Stratasys is collaborating with device manufacturer Medtronic and Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, MN, to finish producing the 5,000 face shields by March 27.
The company invited other 3D printing shops interested in joining its effort to fill out an online form.
Stratasys has also created a webpage through which organizations can request 3D-printed products to help with the crisis.
