Image-guided radiation therapy ViewRay is highlighting research presented at this week's annual meeting of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) in Copenhagen involving its MRIdian stereotactic MRI-guided radiation therapy (SMART) technology.
In a retrospective analysis, researchers from the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, reported that the treatment margins enabled by adaptation, real-time tracking, and automated beam control on MRIdian SMART may enable ablative radiation to be performed with minimal toxicity in hard-to-treat, metastatic, primary ultracentral and central lung lesions, according to the vendor.
