Cedara Software of Mississauga, Ontario, will be demonstrating new applications for its software at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna, Austria, later this week.
Cedara will spotlight Fusion Ortho, a diagnostic tool for orthopedic surgical planning, templating, archiving, and Web distribution. Fusion Ortho includes libraries of digital orthopedic templates from major prosthesis vendors, which allow diagnostic and planning functionality for joint arthroplasty, trauma, and deformity corrections, according to Cedara, a unit of Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee.
The company will also demonstrate the rest of its Fusion family of advanced visualization products, including Fusion PET/CT, Fusion CalScore, Fusion Lung Review, Fusion Mammo, and Fusion Colon Review.
Cedara reported that it will unveil Fusion Response, a work-in-progress software product for early detection of treatment response in brain cancer care. The application utilizes functional diffusion mapping (fDM) to evaluate the impact of anticancer drugs and radiation therapy on tumors.
Cedara said it will debut new enhancements to its European Fusion RIS/PACS product, including scheduling, dictation, exam routing, and hanging protocols. The Fusion RIS, Fusion PACS, and Fusion RIS/PACS offerings will be available in multiple languages and flexible workflow structures for European markets, the developer said.
