Advanced visualization firm TeraRecon has issued several new software releases for its Aquarius family of workstations and 3D servers.
Version 3.5 of TeraRecon's Aquarius workstation software features protocol-based workflow tools that automatically present 3D volumes based on the study type selected by the operator, according to the San Mateo, CA-based firm.
For example, the software offers new soft plaque analysis, automatic vessel segmentation and extraction, measurement, interpretation, and reporting tools for cardiovascular CT studies, TeraRecon said. For CT colonography studies, the entire colon is automatically segmented upon loading, with flight paths automatically generated; users can switch from 2D synchronized views to 3D fly-through mode, according to the firm.
TeraRecon has also released version 1.7 of its AquariusNet Server offering. The new version features clinical workflow and cardiovascular analysis enhancements, including support for single sign-on, online processing engines, and patient information reconciliation. Other enhancements include advanced vessel and soft plaque analysis with stenosis calculations, multimonitor support for review of single-modality or multimodality images, and multimodality fusion support using manual overlay, according to the vendor.
