Look for GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., to highlight a new version of its Advantage Workstation (AW) advanced visualization software that includes new visualization modules, as well as integration with the company's Centricity PACS software.

2006 11 07 15 08 44 706Centricity AW Suite 2 offers five new optional modules: CardIQ (cardiology), Advanced Lung Analysis (oncology), Advanced Vessel Analysis (cardiovascular), Autobone, and CT colonography.

The modules give users better flexibility in managing large datasets of patient images, and radiologists no longer have to move between workstations to view and manipulate volumetric datasets, as they now have access to 3D tools from any PACS PC on the network.
