Radiology informatics firm Aycan Medical Systems has received word that the upgraded version of its OsiriX Pro workstation with 3D multiplanar reformatted (MPR) imaging has received marketing clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The image postprocessing software is designed for navigation and visualization of multislice/multidimensional studies. With the addition of the company's SOVA.evar plug-in, OsiriX Pro becomes a vascular surgery workstation for visualizing and measuring abdominal aortic aneurysms.
