Siemens Healthcare plans to highlight upgrades to its Acuson S2000 scanner, as well as debut a work-in-progress real-time fusion imaging technology, at the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) meeting in New York City.
Software updates for Acuson S2000 will include advanced imaging technologies such as Dynamic TCE (tissue contrast enhancement) and Advanced SieClear spatial compounding. The company will also highlight Virtual Touch Tissue Imaging and Virtual Touch Tissue Quantification, its implementations of Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) technology which are not yet available in the U.S.
Siemens also plans to showcase work-in-progress image-fusion technology that integrates real-time ultrasound with modalities such as CT and MRI.
