GE Healthcare has introduced its Veo CT image reconstruction technology in Canada for use with its Discovery CT750 HD scanner.
Designed to enable high CT image quality at lower radiation dose, Veo is a model-based iterative reconstruction (MBIR) technique that aims to reduce noise, increase resolution, enhance low contrast detectability, and yield fewer artifacts, according to the vendor.
Veo is already available in Europe and much of Asia and is pending 510(k) clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
