PocketHealth launches new image reader

PocketHealth has launched a new AI-powered reader that integrates anatomic images into patients' records.

Image Reader offers patients visual context within a scan, helping them better understand what they are seeing in CT and x-ray images, thus paving the way for more informed discussions with providers and fewer misunderstandings about exam results, the company said. It features multiple segmentation models -- including MedSAM (Medical Segmentation Anywhere Model) -- that support the patient-friendly application of medical imaging segmentation, according to the firm.

PocketHealth plans to showcase Image Reader at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Las Vegas.
