Artificial intelligence (AI) technology developer Segmed has formed a partnership with Nvidia and AI data provider RadImageNet to produce and commercialize synthetic medical imaging data for research and development.
Segmed will offer synthetic medical imaging data on its Insight medical data curation platform, which will also continue to include more than 60 million deidentified real-world imaging records, according to the firm. Generative imaging models have been trained to produce synthetic data for training of AI algorithms in CT, MRI, ultrasound, and endoscopic surgery applications; these models can generate over 160 pathologic classifications, as well as create synthetic segmentations, Segmed said.
Researchers and companies doing medical research will be able to license the data.
