The Institute for AI Governance in Healthcare (IAIGH) has released for public comment a document it calls Healthcare AI Governance Standard (HAIGS).
According to the IAIGH, the HAIGS prioritizes patient safety, data security, equity, transparency, trust, and regulatory compliance. It also provides a framework for regulating AI in healthcare that is designed to be "scalable and adaptable, allowing organizations of all sizes and resource levels to implement it effectively."
"With rising concerns about AI in healthcare and increasing regulatory interest, this standard is incredibly timely," said IAIGH Board Member Herman Oosterwijk in a statement. "It will significantly aid healthcare institutions grappling with AI governance, filling a major gap."
AuntMinnie.com was unable to reach the Institute for more information. The comment period closes November 14.
