Misys Healthcare Systems of Raleigh, NC, will exhibit a new version of the Misys Radiology information system (RIS) interfacing with its Misys PACS Integration Module (Misys PIM).
The Misys RIS features a hold queue that provides a mechanism for having orders reviewed prior to putting these forward as verified orders. A structured reporting application allows a means for encoding structured information using a hierarchical tree of content items that employs DICOM Object Syntax.
Voice recognition support, using Burlington, MA-based Nuance's Dragon NaturallySpeaking application, allows users to create reports in real-time by dictating to their workstations, Misys said.
An Enhanced Medical Necessity Checking feature in the RIS allows the selection of an associated diagnosis for a procedure, searching for a diagnosis code not associated with a procedure, selecting of a diagnosis code not associated with a procedure, defining an advanced beneficiary notification (ABN) form, displaying the ABN form if a diagnosis is selected that is not associated to a procedure printed or faxed, and capturing details of selected diagnosis within exam details (audit trail), the company said.
