Dictaphone, the parent company of speech recognition and digital dictation firm Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions Group, has sold its electronic manufacturing systems (EMS) division to Bulova Technologies.
The EMS division is located in Melbourne, FL, has 340 employees, and is a contract manufacturer of electronic products for various companies, according to Stratford, CT-based Dictaphone. Terms of the transaction were not released.
The company said the sale of the EMS division is part of its strategy to create a company focused principally on healthcare information technology. Dictaphone will retain its integrated voice systems division and other business units.
