Siemens to assist in multistate health information network

Northwest Physicians Network (NPN) of Tacoma, WA, and St. Luke's Health System of Boise, ID, supported by Siemens Medical Solutions, have teamed up to create a multistate health information network to facilitate the exchange of clinical health data.

The Northwest Health Information Network (NWHIN) is progressing within the context of federal efforts to link up providers and patients across the country, according to Siemens. Both NPN and St. Luke's Health System use the Malvern, PA-based Siemens' Soarian community-access technology in their respective marketplaces, the company said.
