Misys unveils new products for HIMSS

Healthcare information technology developer Misys Healthcare Systems will be introducing two new products at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in San Diego next week.

The firm will be demonstrating Misys Connect 1.0, a clinical information data-sharing application for physicians that is compliant with the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative, according to Raleigh, NC-based Misys. Misys Connect, which allows physicians to share patient information across clinical systems, is part of the vendor's Misys Optimum electronic health record (EHR) product line.

Misys will also be showcasing the latest iteration, 5.0, of its Misys CPR product. The Web browser-based EHR application features an integrated computerized physician order entry (CPOE) process employing a single database, as well as a rules engine that spans all health venues, the company said.
