Cedara Software of Mississauga, Ontario, will be demonstrating new applications and toolkits for clinical connectivity at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in San Diego next week.
Cedara will debut its Clinical Control Center (C4), which utilizes configurable protocols to automatically launch independent viewing applications from a single patient work list. For original equipment manufacturer (OEM) companies, this capability allows seamless integration of third-party clinical plug-ins, according to Cedara, a unit of Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee.
C4 will be demonstrated at HIMSS with advanced visualization solutions from the developer including Cedara PET/CT, Cedara IllumiView, Cedara OrthoWorks, Cedara I-Response, Cedara PrimeLung, and Cedara CalScore, the company said.
Cedara reported that it will also demonstrate a variety of tools designed to help organizations implement standards established by HIPAA, Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), DICOM, and HL7. The company's connectivity tools include an image application development platform, Cedara OpenEyes; MergePort, a DICOM and HL7 workflow broker; Cedara's medical workflow engine; Cedara I-Reach, a Web-enabled diagnostic workstation; and Cedara aXigate, a clinical information system.
