Healthcare information technology developer Misys Healthcare Systems will debut the latest version of its electronic medical record (EMR) application, Misys EMR 8.0, at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference next week in San Diego.
The product captures and stores this data through interfaces that allow for integration with a broad range of systems including RIS, PACS, medical devices, transcription systems, and other document repositories, according to Raleigh, NC-based Misys.
Misys EMR 8.0 includes support for release of information via the continuity of care record (CCR) and access to community-wide health information through Misys ConnectT. In addition, the application will integrate with Misys PatientLink, allowing patient-entered clinical data collected prior to a physician visit to be reviewed by the physician when that patient is seen in the office.
