Emdeon of Elmwood Park, NJ, reported growth in both revenues and net income in the company's fiscal 2005 fourth quarter and year (end-December 31).
Revenue advanced 6.4% to $327.2 million for the fourth quarter, compared with $307.6 million in the same period of fiscal 2004. Net income increased to $32.9 million, an extremely robust showing compared with net income of $19.7 million recorded in the prior year.
For the fiscal year, revenue rose 10% to $1.28 billion, compared with $1.16 billion shown in fiscal 2004. Net income posted a vigorous 85.5% upturn to $73 million, compared with net income of $39.3 million from the previous year.
Emdeon said it expects revenue in 2006 to be approximately $1.37 billion to $1.42 billion, an increase of approximately 7% to 11% over fiscal 2005, and that it expects net income to be approximately $45 million to $65 million.
