Healthcare IT firm McKesson will be demonstrating a new hemodynamic monitoring system, as well as enhancements to its current cardiology suite of applications, at the 2006 American College of Cardiology (ACC) conference in Atlanta next week.
Horizon Cardiology Hemo is a hemodynamic monitoring system that enables cardiologists to expedite patient charting and final reporting. Horizon Cardiology Hemo automatically records and monitors a patient's vital signs and data during a cardiac catheterization procedure, allowing it to fully complete the patient chart.
It also can complete up to 90% of the final report when integrated with Horizon Cardiology, McKesson said. Other integration features include the tracking of inventory and supplies for each patient procedure in support of proper billing and supply chain management.
McKesson will also be spotlighting its Horizon Cardiology cardiovascular image and information management system for catheterization, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular ultrasound imaging and information. Another featured product is its IntelliShelf automated supply and inventory management system that stores and handles real-time supply management while also ensuring accurate charge capture of supplies used in the catheterization laboratory.
