Digital dictation and speech recognition firm Dictaphone has signed an agreement to provide its PowerScribe for Radiology speech recognition technology to imaging center operator Shields Health Care Group of Quincy, MA.
Under terms of the three-year agreement, Stratford, CT-based Dictaphone will replace the existing Agfa HealthCare TalkStation speech recognition technology with its PowerScribe application. The group produces more than 140,000 reports annually that are dictated by approximately 100 physicians at 25 centers, according to Dictaphone.
