Speech recognition provider Nuance Communications has completed its acquisition of digital dictation and speech recognition firm Dictaphone of Stratford, CT, for $359 million in cash.
With the closing of the deal, Nuance of Burlington, MA, has established a Dictaphone Healthcare division, with former Dictaphone CEO Rob Schwager staying on as president of the division. Schwager will be joined by several members of the Dictaphone management team, Nuance said.
