Internet-based medical coding technology and services provider CodeRyte debuted the latest iteration of its Web-enabled interventional radiology natural-language processing (NLP) coding application.
The product uses anatomically accurate diagrams of the male and female circulatory systems to allow the visualization of catheterization from beginning to end. The diagram, which also serves as a coder's reference tool, is integrated directly into the coding form, allowing the coder to zoom in and out or pan through the anatomy.
The application also features the support of code assignments with text evidence identified directly from the medical reports. It also provides coders with a list of appropriate terms to choose from once they type in a minimal amount of letters needed to identify the appropriate term, according to the Bethesda, MD-based company.
The software also enables coders to print a highlighted vascular diagram for billing documentation, archiving, physician communication, or educational purposes. The latest version has also improved the application's ergonomics and layout, the company said.
