Emdeon of Elmwood Park, NJ, reported preliminary financial results for its fiscal 2006 first quarter (end-March 31) and has increased its 2006 financial guidance.
The firm said that it expects to report revenue for the period of $338 million to $339 million, compared with prior guidance of $328 million to $338 million and compared with the $304 million in revenue posted in the same period last year.
As a result of the favorable trends experienced in the first quarter and increased interest in new products at its Business Services unit, Emdeon said that it has raised its revenue guidance for fiscal 2006 to from $1.38 billion to $1.43 billion, compared with prior guidance of $1.365 billion to $1.415 billion.
In addition, the company said that it has revised its 2006 net income guidance upward to $70 million to $90 million, compared with its prior guidance of $45 million to $65 million for the fiscal year.
