Radiation oncology information technology developer Impac Medical Systems, a division of Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta, has launched an image-enabled oncology electronic medical record (EMR), Mosaiq.
The Mosaiq application is built on Microsoft's .NET and SQL database technology and features a user interface designed by Rocket Communications, according to the Mountain View, CA-based Impac.
The software can process DICOM and DICOM-RT images, plans, datasets, and services required to support image-guided and adaptive therapy while providing scaleable oncology image storage, retrieval, and archiving, the company said. In addition, it provides image-enabled patient charting, oncologist's documentation, scheduling, charge capture, and billing capabilities.
The product will be demonstrated at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) conference in Atlanta this week.
