Healthcare informatics developer Vitria Technology has launched its Smart Gateway for Healthcare, an application for healthcare information exchange.
The software allows a phased approach for clinical interoperability, according to the Sunnyvale, CA-based firm. It enables control of transaction processing between payors, providers, and their external constituents, and supports all five Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) levels of validation for HIPAA transactions, Vitria said.
