Three former directors of London-based Misys have proposed an alternative to any possible offers the board may receive to buy or invest in the company.
On June 14, Misys, parent company of healthcare IT firm Misys Healthcare Systems of Raleigh, NC, confirmed that certain senior management members had been authorized to explore the possibility of an offer for Misys.
The former directors' proposal would have the trio assume control of Misys and implement a strategy to maximize value to Misys shareholders within two years. The plan includes separating the company into three businesses for possible sale, and reducing costs by decentralizing management of the group.
